The Field Marketing Council of the DMA represents many of the leading field marketing agencies in the UK who provide outsourced sales and merchandising solutions to their clients. As such we employ many thousands of people throughout the UK to undertake work on our clients'' behalf and this inevitably involves a lot of travel. In 2008 the Field Marketing Council decided they needed to focus on the environmental impact of this and are providing advice to members on how to reduce their carbon emissions. The need to do this has been further exacerbated with dramatic rise in fuel prices throughout 2008 which is impacting the costs and profitability of our members.
